Why Proper Design Decisions Reduce Long-Term Flooring Costs
Poor material selection is one of the most common causes of premature commercial floor failure. When a flooring system doesn’t match the traffic volume, moisture exposure, or maintenance program of a space, replacement costs can arrive ahead of schedule. Our design team evaluates performance requirements before making any recommendation, so every specified material is appropriate for how the space actually functions.
Safety considerations, including slip resistance, transition design, and accessibility compliance, are far easier to address at the design stage than to retrofit later. Our team factors these into recommendations alongside aesthetics and budget, not as afterthoughts.
Design continuity is built into our process. Our design professionals stay involved through project management and installation, not just the selection phase. That means the intent behind every material choice is understood by the people executing it. Our workmanship is backed by a strong warranty, and our recommendations are driven by project fit across dozens of manufacturer partnerships.

Continuing Education for Milwaukee-Area Architects & Designers
Architects and many interior designers in Wisconsin must complete continuing education hours to maintain licensure. Our monthly Lunch and Learn series supports that requirement. Each session covers product trends, installation techniques, and technical specification information that translates directly to better project decisions.
Sessions are led by certified instructors who bring current product and specification knowledge to every topic. The program serves both specifiers looking to sharpen material knowledge and installers building technical skills.
CEU credits are available through three recognized professional bodies:
- Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC)
- American Institute of Architects (AIA)
- Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI)
“Working with Lippert Design Consultation was not only easy and effective, it was fun! The relationship we developed made it more enjoyable and productive. When I had questions, they were available to listen and problem-solve. The teamwork between Lippert and our school will remain memorable.”
– Gena Santharam, Principal at Richmond School
“Lippert did a phenomenal job assisting us with flooring selections. They excel at understanding the business need and are quick to identify flooring options that complement any space. When replacing flooring at our headquarters, they provided multiple options from different manufacturers, allowing us to meet our price point, complement older finishes, and maintain the original design intent of the building. I highly recommend Lippert Flooring & Tile to any organization that desires a true leader in the industry.”
– Margie LeMay, Senior Project Manager at Johnson Financial Group
