Carpeting does not belong in a landfill. We divert it.
With our elevated awareness of environmental issues, disposal of old carpeting isn't as simple as ripping it up and throwing it in a dumpster. That's why we at Lippert divert all carpet waste from landfills and recycle it as an integral part of our complete flooring project process on all of our jobs.
We do not send any carpeting to landfills.
Our Recycling Program is a completely environmentally friendly service. It is LEED compliant and can be used for LEED accreditation. It also works within the green initiatives set forth by the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE).
We divert and document, so accreditation can be achieved.
Our recycling program is flexible enough to accept and recycle all carpet materials. Any fiber type from any mill. Whether the material is removed from an existing project for remodeling or is waste carpeting from the installation process, we divert it.
Then, it is transported to facilities where it is brought back to life in the form of new "green" flooring products, consumer and industrial parts, or converted into energy. In fact, no useful part of the carpeting goes to waste.
It's all part of what you can expect when you choose us to manage your entire flooring process. Contact us to discuss how we can help enhance your sustainable building efforts.
Simple stewardship; if it can be re-used, don't throw it away. Especially if doing so protects our resources.
